I'm going to let you in on a secret...
despite what every weight loss clinic and gym is telling you, You are not being judged.
So, when they are telling you...
their service is 'free of judgement', they are actually leaning into your insecurities, rather than what is actually true...
...that you are the one
who judges you the most.
All those people judging you...
do they actually exist?
Sure, there will always be some people - of course - but they are in such small numbers, it pales in comparison to the way we judge ourselves.
"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so."
Are people really judging you?
It's a key factor in why some people avoid the gym or exercising in public. But, more likely, it's what we believe to be true that just aint so.
Let's stick to facts
How many of us have actually been criticised at the gym?
Don't count the look on someone's face, or the stare. You are placing your own assumptions on these. Because you believe people think things, that they just might not.
My own biggest critic at the gym was myself. I was thinking about whateveryone else was thinking of me, when in reality they were't thinking about me at all.
Most people at the gym are too focused on thelmselves to even think about you.
And.....if they're truly judging you?
Let them!
Because at that point, it has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with their hang-ups, history etc.
Let's focus on you...forget the word 'judgment'...it no longer exists as relevant.
