Inclusion & Non-Discrimination Policy

Jinjerli | Effective 25/06/2026

Our commitment

At Jinjerli, the belief that everyone deserves respectful, effective support for their health and wellbeing sits at the heart of everything we do. This policy makes that commitment explicit: we do not discriminate, and we actively work to create a practice where every person feels genuinely welcome and safe

Who this applies to

This policy applies to all people who interact with Jinjerli, including clients, prospective clients, referral partners, and anyone else who engages with our services or content.

Non-discrimination

Jinjerli does not discriminate on the basis of:

  • Age
  • Body size, shape, or weight history
  • Disability (physical, intellectual, psychiatric, or sensory)
  • Ethnicity, race, or cultural background
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Impairment (including chronic illness or mental health conditions)
  • Marital or relationship status
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Religion or spiritual beliefs
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation
  • Socioeconomic background

This list reflects protected attributes under Commonwealth and Queensland anti-discrimination law, including the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), the Sex Discrimination Act 1984, the Racial Discrimination Act 1975, the Age Discrimination Act 2004, and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

What this looks like in practice

Non-discrimination isn’t just about what we won’t do — it shapes how we work:

Body respect. Because Jinjerli’s work touches directly on body size and weight, we are especially committed to a non-judgement, shame-free approach. All bodies are treated with dignity. We do not use stigmatising language, make assumptions based on appearance, or tie a person’s worth to a number on a scale.

Accessible services. Where possible, we work to accommodate different needs — including those related to disability, cultural background, or financial circumstances. If you have specific needs or concerns, please reach out and we will do our best to find a workable approach.

Language and communication. We aim to use language that is inclusive and respectful. If something we say or write doesn’t land that way, we want to know.

Referrals. If Jinjerli cannot meet someone’s needs — for any reason — we will do our best to point them toward someone who can, without judgement.
