This recipe is so simple that it hardly requires a recipe. I love a good salad and often it’s the dressing/seasoning of a salad that makes it shine. However, many store-bought salad dressings are not so crash hot healthwise, often containing unnecessarily lots of sugar and oil. The good news is that yoghurt is a great creamy base for a dressing, and you can add your flavours to it.

There is no hard or fast rule on quantities, it’s the flavours you like. I encourage you to taste and decide how you will make it but here is just one variation.
- 1 tbsp low-fat Greek yoghurt
- some hot sauce
- a splash of lemon juice, and
- some cracked pepper
- add a little water if you like your dressing more fluid.
Other options include adding your favourite spice mix, such as Mediterranean or Middle Eastern. You could add fresh herbs for some flair and opt for some orange juice for a zesty citrus option. Matching your seasoning to your protein will create a taste sensation. Try dill and lemon with your fish, or even a lemon pepper seasoning. For chicken or tofu, there are so many options but I’m a fan of spice, or mustard.
